The Florida Thatch Palm (Thrinax radiata, Silk-Top Thatch Palm) is a Florida Native Palm tree; native to the Florida Keys to be exact. If you are looking for a tropical palm, salt tolerant palm and drought tolerant palm then the Florida Thatch Palm is for you! It is a slow growing palm tree reaching only 15-20' when mature. It can withstand temperatures down to about 30 degrees f. for short periods, however it is not necessarily considered a cold hardy palm. Some say the Florida Thatch Palm can be easily grown indoors.
